The Oswestry Annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display will take place on Saturday, November 2 from 6.30pm at Brogyntyn Park.

The evening, which is expected to be hugely popular, will be organised by Oswestry Town Council and Oswestry Borderland Rotary and is set to be bigger than ever.

Now into its second decade, the display has raised more than £90,000 for good causes around the area, while this year additional fireworks have been purchased, promising to be the most spectacular display in memory.

Town mayor, Councillor John Price, is hoping for a big turn out.

He said: “I hope that as many people as possible will come to Brogyntyn Park and enjoy this community event.

"The atmosphere is always most enjoyable and by bringing the community together, then we help fundraise for our local good causes and those less fortunate than ourselves.

"We are most grateful to the Oswestry Borderland Rotary for helping to continue this fantastic event for the town which means such a lot to so many people.”
