A ROAD between Bangor-On-Dee and Whitchurch will be temporarily closed for forensic investigation following a fatal collision, police have said.

Shortly before 5am on October 2, North Wales Police were called to a report of a two vehicle collision on the A525.

The driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

North Wales Police has now said the A525 near Horseman’s Green, Bangor-on-Dee, will be closed for a short while on Sunday (October 13) to allow further investigation following the recent fatal collision.

A police spokesman said: "The closure will allow the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit to carry out a skid test at the scene of the collision.

"In order to conduct the tests in a safe manner and due to the nature of the road, the closure will be placed for approximately 30 minutes from 9am.

"The date and time have been chosen in an effort to reduce the amount of disruption caused.

"Thank you in advance for your understanding."
