WHITCHURCH Town Council is once again looking for their Citizen of the Year.
This competition is now in its fifth year and has become a firm favourite in the town since it was launched in 2015.
This year the Mayor of Whitchurch, Councillor Bev Duffy, is searching for an outstanding citizen to represent the town and celebrate their achievements.
The award looks to honour people who have contributed to the local community during the year.
Cllr Duffy said: “So many individuals working tirelessly for our community without any desire for recognition or reward.
“That’s why we are appealing for residents of Whitchurch to nominate their Citizen of the Year so that we may say thank you to them on behalf of our town.”
Nominations can be made by downloading and completing a nomination form from Whitchurch Town Council’s website and hard copy nomination forms are also available from Whitchurch Civic Centre’s Community Hub.
n Completed forms can be emailed to info@whitchurchcouncil.uk or posted into the Civic Centre.
Deadline for nominations is Friday, November 1.
