A BOOK documenting a former Whitchurch teacher's memories will be published this month.
Fifty Not Out, Memoirs of Whitchurch Junior School will soon be released by Tony White, who taught at the school for 35 years, as well as a further 15 years at other schools.
As well as documenting Tony's time at the school, book sales will raise money for charity, with all proceeds going towards Cancer Research.
Tony says the book took nearly four years to bring together, and will feature a host of pictures and anecdotes from his time at the school.
"I decided to publish some of my memoirs in the hope of reviving memories of many happy years at Whitchurch Junior School," said Tony.
"The book took nearly four years to complete and it shows funny sides to the profession, plus the standard of excellence achieved in the field over this period."
A promotional launch for the book will take place at Whitchurch Library on Friday, October 18 between 10am and 1pm, where Tony will be signing copies.
