The northbound carriageway of the A5 is blocked after a five-vehicle road traffic collision (RTC) between the Whittington and Gobowen roundabouts.
The RTC happened at around 2.55pm on Sunday, with Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team announcing the crash on their Twitter account.
The team tweeted: "[Five] vehicle RTC A5 between Whittington and Gobowen islands. North bound carriageway closed – road blocked."
Shropshire Fire and Rescue said three crews including a rescue tender were sent to the scene from Oswestry and Wellington.
Two people were helped from the vehicles and were treated on the scene by ambulance staff, with firefighters spending around 35 minutes at the scene.
