Police are appealing for information after a shop worker was robbed on his way home from work in Oswestry.

The man was approached by two unknown males in an alleyway off College Road in Oswestry shortly before 10pm on Sunday, September 22.

The males were described as tall, probably aged 20/21, and wearing heavy puffa jackets. They searched the victim’s jacket pockets before he was able to run off and get away from them.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "If you have information that you believe may be in connection to these or any further incidence, please contact the Police on 101, quoting the OIS incident reference number 0807s 220919. For emergencies please call 999.

"Remain vigilant around your area and report suspicious persons, vehicles or activity to the Police on 101."
