GREEN fingered residents of Malpas have been showing off their best plants at this year's annual plant and produce show.

Malpas Amateur Gardeners held the show at the Jubilee Hall earlier this month, with nearly 100 members showing off almost 200 exhibits.

The very well supported show was organised by committee member Karen Johnson who was supported by the rest of the committee along with a team of members who volunteered for various roles.

Club member Alan Bourne commended the quality of the exhibition and says he is already looking forward to future events.

"The show was a great success with almost 200 exhibits to which our four judges commented on their high standard," said Alan.

"Our club chairman Paul Philpotts presented the trophies and rosettes to the winners who were all excited to receive their awards.

"We were pleased to see several children entering into our show as hopefully they will become future members of our club.

"Our active committee are looking forward to 2020 with a full schedule of talks and events already planned."
