CHESTER Road Bowling Club are celebrating another successful season, with one of their teams winning the league.
As the bowling season draws to a close, Chester Road A are getting the champagne in early after winning the Malpas Senior Citizens League
The club also have more to look forward to, holding their Presidents Day event on Sunday, September 29, at 10.30am.
Ann Mitchell, secretary of Chester Road Bowling Club, said: “It has been a good summer, the weather has been very wet at times also there have been some lovely sunny days, a pleasure to be out on the bowling green.
“Now as we wind up competitions and host various leagues competitions we look forward to next season."
The weekend's event is open to members and friends, also anyone who is interested in learning to bowl.
A donation will be handed to first responders, some of which visit the club.
