AN ICONIC piece of Ash Parva's landscape has been reconstructed by a team of intrepid team of residents.
Ash Parva's centrepiece pond was in need of attention after drying up through neglect but through donations and grants it has been brought back to life.
Thanks to help from the Twemlows Fund and the Shropshire RCC, as well as Ash Parish Council, the site has been refilled with water, fish introduced, the bench refurbished and a tree planted.
Paul Dutton chairman of the committee that helped organise the reconstruction, said: "The idea came out last year. The pond was dry so we decided we wanted to restore the pond to as it was many years ago.
"The project started last year when we looked for funding and a means of making it waterproof.
"After looking we found we'd likely need "1,200 to fund the lining, which we got from the Twemlows Fund and the parish council.
"One the major funding was in place we were able to get donations from residents. The whole project cost just under £1,700.
"It's never been quite as good as this. With the good will of the residents we're glad we got the whole thing together."
