The annual fun dog show event held at Bradeley Green Pet Store returned on Saturday.

Dogs and their owners were put through their paces by judges to determine winners in each of the 15 categories on the day.

The show saw dogs competing in a range of competitions including waggiest tail, best pedigree, cutest puppy, best crossbreed and best trick.

Winners in each class took home a rosette and a goody bag for their hard work.

Shop manager at Bradeley Green Pet Store, Jayne Allman, said it was pleasing to see the event so well-attended again.

“We do this every year in aid of Grinshill Animal Rescue and Cancer Research UK,” she said.

“We had a variety of entertainment and competitions for dogs and their owners to get excited about.

“It was really pleasing for us to see how many people came along today – the weather was a bonus on top of that as well.

“With us doing a lot of dog grooming products, the dog show seems a good way to get people to come along and see what we do while raising money for a good cause.

“It seems to be getting busier and busier each year. this time we added some new competitions and activities to make it a little different.

“We all love to see dogs so it’s a great day if you’re an animal lover like us.”

The next big event at the store will be the annual Santa Paws day when dogs can meet Father Christmas – this will take place on Saturday, December 7.
