FIREFIGHTERS were called to Wem on Thursday, September 5 to reports of a fire in the open.
The report was received at approximately 1.30pm and involved tree cuttings catching fire.
Two fire appliances from Prees and Wem were mobilised to tackle the blaze.
Fire crews on the scene used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which was put out just before 2pm.
