THE work of local artists and schoolchildren was displayed for all to see in Whitchurch recently.

The Art Show exhibition at St John's Methodist Church featured the work of pupils from The White House School and Sir John Talbots, in addition to many other local artists.

Dorothy Charlesworth, who organised the event which saw proceeds being donated to St John's Access Fund, and Time Together Dementia Care, was delighted with the turnout.

She said: "Our theme this year was Climate Emergency and the exhibition was well attended.

"The winner of the people's favourite picture was Gillian Johnson and the winner of the people's favourite by a young person was Lilly White-Culf, from year 9 at Sir John Talbots School.

"We have been asked to stage the exhibition again on Blackberry Fair day as part of the fair, which we are very pleased to do.

"In addition to the exhibition, the church will be dressed for harvest and there will be refreshments available."
