THE BUDDING mountaineers of Bettisfield have a new piece of climbing apparatus to test their skills following the installation of new playground equipment.
A £17,000 Rex Climber, incorporating a two metre high slide, a host of different climbing features and a fireman's pole has proved popular with children since its installation at Bettisfield Village Hall in May.
The new equipment was donated to to Bettisfield by the Maelor South Community Council (MSCC) following efforts by community councillors Yvonne Lee Jones, John Blanchard and Phil Jones.
An opening ceremony took place on Wednesday, August 7 and was attended by the chairman of the Maelor South Community Council, John Griffiths.
The opening ceremony acted as an opportunity for the Village and Hall Management Committee to show its appreciation for the past and ongoing support of the MSCC.
