FOOTBALL fanatics flocked to Malpas FC on Sunday to take part in the club's fun day.
As well as the fun activities for children, the day also featured a football tournament and a fun run.
Teams involved on the day contested the Greg Davenport Memorial Trophy and the Malpas Cup.
The Greg Davenport Memorial Trophy was won by Malpas Old Boys, with Malpas Whites and Malpas Stripes coming in second and third, respectively.
Narrowly missing out was the Whitchurch Girls under-10s team, who finished in fourth place.
Meanwhile, Malpas Panthers and Malpas Jaguars fought over the Malpas Cup, with the Panthers being victorious on the day.
Speaking after the event, club officials praised the turn out, which allowed the event to be a success.
“Fantastic turn out at Malpas Sports Clubs Family fun day,” said a club spokesman. “Great to see so many local people chipping in and making it the day it was.
“Well done to all involved, there was some great football on show.”
