A CARE home in Whitchurch has received a good rating following a surprise visit from inspectors.
Edgeley House, based in Edgeley Road was visited by inspectors from the Care Quality Commission in June, who recently published their report.
Inspectors judged the home on five specific areas, looking at whether the home was safe, the service was effective and whether staff were caring, responsive and well led.
For all five of these categories, inspectors judged Edgeley House to be good, with only minor changes suggested.
In the glowing report, inspectors highlighted how care home staff were supportive of the residents and treated them with compassion and also commented on the positive way the home was run.
Kizzy Ankers, home manager, said: "I would like to thank all the staff for all there hard work and support within Edgeley House to make this CQC a success.
"Also I like to thank the community for supporting Edgeley House with donations and supporting events that we have held. This has made a difference to residents lives.
"And I like to thank everyone for the support and hope they continue to support us in making Edgeley House special."
