YOUNG people in Malpas will have a unique activity to help them through the summer holidays next month.
With help from Malpas Parish Council, young people will have the opportunity to take part in a puppet making and drama workshop, held at Malpas Young Persons Centre.
The workshops are being run by Hollie Wimpenny of Minerva Arts, who specialise in bringing art workshops to rural communities.
"We are committed to enabling young people in rural locations to access great arts activity on their doorstep," said Hollie. "I am really excited to bring these workshops to Malpas.
"The young people will get to work with incredible professional artists to create some interesting and exciting puppetry and theatre.
"Whether they are experienced or a complete beginner, the workshops are open to anyone who wants to get involved."
The workshops will be held at Malpas Young Persons Centre from 10am to 4pm on August 12 for the puppet making workshop and August 19 for the drama workshop.
Each session is £15 or £25 for both days. Minerva also offers discounts to siblings.
