ORGANISERS of the Blackberry Fair are looking for more artists and performers to join the party.

Every year the Blackberry Fair brings a splash of colour to Whitchurch and for this year the organisers are looking for anyone with a green theme to take part.

Any traders with an impetus on green and sustainable living are encouraged to take part and event organiser Steve Chapman wants the fair to show the world what Whitchurch is capable of.

"Of the many thousands of visitors Blackberry Fair attracts, it’s remained an occasion for Whitchurch to show the world how distinctive, imaginative and caring we really can be," said Steve.

"With the green message now firmly on everybody’s lips this year’s fair is rising to the challenge more than ever. Sustainability has always been at its heart with positive action celebrated through fun, music and imagination.

"We’ve married the challenges of the natural world with those of the high street and the people who hang out there.

"From drastic plastic to tree loving, what are we all doing about it? Here’s a day to share actions and ideas.

"The hunt is on to raise our market town culture to the roof by attracting people who are passionate about what they do and tread lightly on the planet. We celebrate the small things folk are doing on an Epic Stage."

This year's Blackberry Fair will take place on October 5. For anyone who is interested in trading, email blackberryfair@gmail.com or call 07773 047744.
