A CRICKET club enjoying a new lease of life in 2019 celebrated its two main sponsors this month.
Coton Hall Cricket Club paid tribute to two of its sponsors before a recent home game against Allscott Heath second X.
The club welcomed Wes Haggar Knight, manager of the Bull and Dog inbetween Wem and Whitchurch, and Rob Cadman, owner of Cadstones Ltd, from Whitchurch.
The club has long used the Bull and Dog, in Coton, as its ‘watering hole’ after home matches and Rob Cadman has been signed by son Alex, the club’s cricket captain to play when necessary.
The Shropshire Cricket League Division Seven side are enjoying a very successful season and on Saturday beat leaders Llanidloes; this was the Welsh side’s only defeat to date and left Coton in second place and pushing for promotion.
