A Whitchurch community group has accepted a cheque for money raised at a Christmas event.
Last year, staff from Pets 2000 and Make your House a Home; both of Watergate Arcade raised the sum of £500, with the help of Father Christmas and his reindeers.
The proceeds of this have been donated to the Friends of Whitchurch community hospital to go towards the provision of new equipment and comforts for the patients.
The cheque was presented by Lynton and Vonnie from Pets 2000 and Sharon form Make your House a Home, who were the organisers of the event.
Rosemary Powell, secretary of the friends, said: "The Friends of Whitchurch Community Hospital would like to thank them all and their supporters for their most generous donation and all their hard work."
