A WHITCHURCH-based home care provider has won a regional award from the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.

AStar Homecare of Park View business Centre in Combermere set up in December of last year and now supports more than 30 people in their own homes.

The company also employs 22 people from in and around Whitchurch. All the team are fully trained and put onto a nationally recognised qualification in health and social care.

“We applied in the hope all our teams hard work would be recognised," said Gillian Holden, owner and registered manager. "They work tirelessly to be the best.

"It’s important they see that their hard work is recognised. We didn’t think we would win being so new, but we are totally thrilled that our efforts are recognised within the community”.
