A TEAM of Whitchurch Air Cadets have done their bit for charity at the Cosford Air Show.

At this year's show, members of the 79 Squadron Air Training Corps, based in Whitchurch, helped out on the Royal Air Forces Association stall, selling items to raise money for RAFA.

Led by Warrant Officer Frank Kamudu and civilian instructor Mark Goddard, cadets Michael Briggs, Ben Magee, Sam Weir and Corporal Daniel Mckewan helped out on the stall, as well as getting a chance to enjoy the dramatic air show.

This year civilians came from far and wide to experience the air show, which featured official RAF displays from the Red Arrows, as well as a visit from a Swiss F/A-18 Hornet.

The Royal Air Forces Association raise money to support service personnel and service veterans and their families.

They are there to help injured servicemen back on their feet, to support families who are separated from loved ones during their service time.
