A SCREENING on the life and works of revolutionary landscape designer Piet Oudolf will be shown in Wem.
The documentary film follows Piet Oudolf, as he designs and installs a major new garden in Somerset, a garden he considers his best work yet.
The film also looks at his work in New York and the Netherlands.
The documentary takes cinema goers inside his creative process, from his beautifully abstract sketches, to theories on beauty, to the ecological implications of his ideas.
Emma Jones, marketing and events assistant at Wem Town Hall, said: “We are the only cinema in the county to show the film so this is a great opportunity to see a rare documentary which immerses viewers in Oudolf’s works.
"This is an absolute must see for any garden enthusiast!”
The film will be shown at Wem Town Hall on Tuesday, July 2 and tickets cost £7 for adults, £6 for Wem Town Hall friends and £5 for under 19s.
