A LOT of fun was had by a group of Brownies from Ellesmere, as they went on a forest adventure on Saturday.
The 2nd Ellesmere Brownies visited Wrekin Forest School to ‘respect, protect and enjoy the wonderful outdoors’ while having fun and learning new skills as part of the ‘have adventures’ challenges of Girlguiding.
The trip was made possible for the 28 youngsters who attended, after funding from the Red Lion Quiz Team Fund. Brownies jumped on the mud trampoline, cooked outside and roasted marshmallows, they also tried their hand at lighting fires and building shelters.
Caroline Ford, Brownie leader, said “It was excellent fun – the girls are already asking for a return.”
