Whitchurch’s popular truck show returned to the town last weekend.

Truckers from far and wide made their way to Whitchurch Rugby Club for this year’s Party on the Pitch event.

The family-orientated truck show had more than 100 trucks booked in to go on show for the weekend, with a handful being picked out as winners of annual awards.

It is a chance for truckers to showcase their different vans and unique liveries.

Trophies were given out for a variety of awards which were given to different types and themes of trucks.

Chris Newey took first place for his vehicle in the Forestry Truck category.

Also winners on the day were James Richardson and daughter Jessica who were presented with a trophy for first place in the Customised Art Truck category.

And the Steve Ashley Memorial Trophy for the Best Trucks in Fleet was won by Ewan Schofield, Jonathan Riley, Jason Griffiths and David Abble.

Event organiser Stuart Naginton said after the show: “Over 350 trucks on site, we’re just blown away! I wish we hadn’t closed bookings so early but we weren’t sure how the ground was going to fill at the top corner and didn’t want to be over full,

“Huge Credit to everyone who made the journey to be with us. I just wish we could give to awards out twice, because the standard was outstanding.”
