MUSIC fans in Whitchurch turned out despite the weather last weekend to once again Party in the Park.

The crowds flooded into Jubilee Park to not only enjoy the music, but to eat, drink and go for a ride on the funfair.

With the rain failing to dampen the atmosphere, Party in the Park once again proved to be a highlight of the Whitchurch event calendar.

The day featured live music from the likes of Hedge Gods, Jonathon Markwood and the funky Groove Dynamite, who wowed the crowd and brought a festival-like atmosphere to the park.

A spokesperson for Party in the Park said: “Another great year and thanks to all those that came – you were brilliant.

“Thanks also to all the foodies, the stall-holders and community groups.

“And of course, thanks to all the bands, you really rocked the park and thanks to Magic Dragon Brewery for putting on great beer and BraveArts for all that great sound engineering and compering – what a day.

“Well done to all the town council staff for putting on such a great event, another successful party!”
