A FORMER Ellesmere College student scored her first goal for her country as they played against France on the weekend.
Caro Hulme scored the second goal in Wales’ 3-1 win over France in the second of their three-game series in preparation for the International Hockey Federation (FIH) series finals in Valencia.
The game took place in Cardiff and sent Wales into the final game of the series on the back of a win.
The north Shropshire youngster scored the second to give Wales a 2-0 lead, before a goal in reply from France reduced the deficit to just one goal before another Wales goal made it 3-1.
It was Caro’s 16th full cap for Wales, which was aired live on S4C, with commentators praising her goal, describing it as a great finish.
Caro had to return to Nottingham immediately after the game had finished to complete her university exams.
