Some of the fittest people in Whitchurch and beyond will be taking on a huge challenge to raise funds for charity soon.
Members of the Whitchurch Whippets running club will betaking on the famous and gruelling 'Three Peaks Challenge', aiming to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just 24 hours.
Cathy McAllister, from the Whippets says the 16 participants are looking forward to the challenge and hope people in the town can get behind them.
"She said: "They are raising money for Severn Hospice.
"The group will set off on Thursday, June 13 and will start the challenge at the foot of Ben Nevis later that day.
"Severn Hospice provides whole family care and support to those living with life-limiting illnesses across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales.
