THE ULTIMATE Triathlon taking place next month has given rise to a unique opportunity for Tilstock residents.
The triathlon, which will take place on June 2 at Alderford Lake will use a number of public roads, some of which will be closed to traffic.
Tilstock and Bradbury Village Hall have taken advantage of the situation, and with the permission of the triathlon organisers, will take a 'summer stroll' along one of the closed roads.
The route they will walk is the B5476 between Tilstock and Alderford Lake, a distance of around 4 miles .
Walkers will meet at Tilstock Bradbury Village Hall on Sunday, June 2 at 3.45pm for a 4pm start, returning afterwards to the village hall for tea and light refreshments.
The organisers recommend good walking shoes advisable, and dogs on leads are welcome.
The walk will cost £5 per person, including refreshments and accompanied children are free.
