PLANS are in full swing for this year's Ellesmere Food and Drinks Festival happening next month.

The weekend event is on Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16, which coincides with Father's Day.

Entry is free into the festival, which this year, will take place inside and outside of Ellesmere market hall.

There will be lots of tasty food and mouth-watering drinks on offer with stalls selling honey, donuts, steaks, polish sausage, pies, preserves and calzone, to name just a few things.

Drinks-wise, there will be many different ciders, a cocktail bar, hot drinks and also non-alcoholic options on offer.

The popular event, which was the first of its kind to take place in North Shropshire, is ran by Lincoln McMullan and Juliet Devereaux and is now into its 13th year.

Other local businesses will be joining in with the festivities by putting on live bands and other entertainment.

Lincoln, said: "There will be something there for everybody to eat and drink.

"We hope people will bring along their dad's to celebrate Father's Day as it will be a really nice day out."
