CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue have been called out to a horse box fire near Malpas.
Firefighters received the call at 2.42pm on Cross O Th Hill Road between Malpas and No Man's Heath.
One engine was dispatched from Chester, as well as an engine from neighbouring Whitchurch.
No horses were injured in the blaze, which was extinguished using a hose reel by 4.17pm.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire crews were called to a horse box fire on Cross O Th Hill Road, Malpas.
"On arrival the crew found the horse box well alight and that the grass around the box had also set on fire."
