Dozens of competitors took to the Montgomery Canal on Saturday for the annual triathlon.
Welsh rugby legend, Sir Gareth Edwards, was the official starter for the event, assisted by Sue Newham, Mayor of Newtown.
The 240 competitors then set off on the bike section from Newtown to Pool Quay, before walking the next section to Morton.
At Morton they then picked up canoes to take them to the finish line at Lower Frankton.
The 35-mile extravaganza is a popular event with competitors coming from across the country – and this year even France – to take part.
