A former joint-manager of Whitchurch Alport has been ordered to sign the sex offenders registers for five years after admitting to sexual communications with a child.

Carl Everall, who left Yockings Park in 2017, was also given a three-year community order, plus a five-year sexual harm order and will be required to attend a sexual offenders treatment programme.

Mr Everall was sentenced at Chester Crown Court on May 9 for the offence where it was heard he had begun to send 'inappropriate messages' to a girl in her early teens on the social media app Snapchat around January 2018.

The message only stopped in September 2018 when he was arrested.

He was then suspended by Crewe Alexandra – where he worked as a youth coach – a month later for a 'safeguarding' issue.
