A MUM at Whitchurch Juniors Academy was given the help of pupils at the Station Road school to save water.

Nicci Russell is the managing director of Waterwise, which campaigns for a better use of water in the UK and beyond.

She headed to the school during Water Saving Week and there, Year 3 helped Nicci with an UK exclusive school visit during this year’s Water Saving Week, where they worked with her to come up with ideas for saving water.

Nicci said: "I had such a fantastic and inspiring morning with the amazing Year 3 children. They were full of ideas about saving water and I learnt loads!

"They will be brilliant ambassadors for water saving at home and at school and are also going to write to the local MP Owen Paterson to ask him for government action.

"Thank you for an amazing visit."
