Residents around Whitchurch and Malpas were able to get outside after the full forces of Storm Hannah had passed at the weekend to help raise money for a charity.

The Tushingham Bluebell Walk, which has proven to be extremely popular in recent years, was again to visitors at the estate of Tushingham Hall, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs P Moore-Dutton on Sunday.

Visitors were able to get out and walk among the beautiful bluebells which flower at this stage of spring, paying a £5 admission to help raise money for charity.

They picked up some tea and scones for their money and visitors of all ages were able to enjoy access to the beautiful grounds.

The final amount is yet-to-be announced while on Sunday, the Old St Chad's Chapel will hold its first service of the year on Sunday at 6.30pm.

On the same day, there is an informal service at the main church in Tushingham, which occurs on the first Sunday of the month, with guitar led songs/hymns and a talk; coffee/tea will be available through the one hour long service.
