A NATIONAL Trust property has received a maintenance boost thanks to auctioneers

Auctioneers Trevanion and Dean were delighted to have helped raise £700 in conjunction with the Wrexham National Trust Association (WNTA) at an antiques valuation and coffee morning in Wrexham.

The BBC TV antiques expert Christina Trevanion and her business partner Aaron Dean held antiques valuations during the coffee morning at St Margaret’s Church Hall where keen ‘antiquers’ queued patiently to have their items assessed.

"It was a fantastic day and we saw some beautiful objects", said Christina.

"My favourite was a bronze chamber stick in the form of a dragon, it seemed very appropriate to see a dragon in Wales."

The event raised nearly £700 in aid of the restoration of the water system and fountains at Erddig, which were a particularly welcoming feature in the parterre on the east front of the house.

Former chair and committee member of WNTA Pat Venner said: "We were delighted with the success of the coffee morning, the way that Christina and Aaron dealt with the crowds was marvellous, over the years the association has raised many thousands of pounds for Erddig and The National Trust and we will continue to do s."
