The Easter Bank Holiday weekend was finished off in style on Monday as horse carriage took tot he streets.

The British Driving Society in Whitchurch stuck true to their determination to get out on Easter Monday to drive from Prees to Whitchurch.

Drivers and their horses were resplendently dressed in a number of colours and designs as they made up for the cancellation of the traditional New Year's drive on January 1 because of unavailability.

Participants of the Easter Drive came in all shapes, sizes and ages as they enjoyed the last of the spring sunshine over the weekend with temperatures in north Shropshire touching 25 degrees.

There was a competitive elements to the Drive as Sue Cole and Frank Bullock celebrated as their trusty steed Sam The Man won best turned out horse while Sue's carriage was also immaculately dressed for the day, while youngsters dressed up for the occasion.
