There was a familiar feel for two army cadets at en event in Shrewsbury last week.
Colour Sergeant Daniel Muir was at Shrewsbury Castle on April 4 to become the official cadet to Anna Turner, the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire.
He took the honour from a fellow Whitchurch resident Company Sergeant Major Chloe Edwards in the ceremony.
It means that Whitchurch has provided the cadet to the Lord Lieutenant for two consecutive years.
The pair, while both living in Whitchurch, and serving in the Army cadets, both also attend the same youth group at the Beacon Church.
