The North Shropshire Wheelers (NSW) cycling team hosted their annual '2up' 10-mile team time trial last month.

A chilly but dry morning saw 10 teams at the start line with four teams from the host club.

Leading the way were Tim Beardsmore and Dean Dovey from Nova Raiders with an impressive time of 22 minutes and 41 seconds while the fastest pair from the Wheelers were Richard Kay and James Neale coming in at 24:59.

Gino Trasatti and Gareth Brookes (NSW) followed closely with a time of 25:09. The only ladies team, Jenny Newton and Jane Chapman from Nova Raiders, crossed the finish line with a time of 28:03.

Other club results were Tim Rex and Amrico Atwal 25:09 and mixed team, Terry Price and Elaine Langley with 36:28.

The club's most recent race last month was the Hawkstone Hilly 19.

The two-lap course, which climbs past the Hawkstone Follies, presented an interesting and technical challenge to the riders. An impressive 24 riders made their way to the start line on another dry but cold day.

Leading the way for the club was Brookes with a time of 49:51. Newest club member James Neale rode over the line with a time of 51:20. Trasatti followed closely at 52:24. V

isiting rider Ian Nisbett from Hafren Cycling Club, took first place with a time of 46:05 and leading lady Louise Hurdley, also from Hafren CC, came in at 1:01:04.

Other NSW times were Shaune Clorley 1:06:24, Terry Price 1:08:29 and Elaine Langley 1:23:00.
