Youngsters at two Whitchurch schools came together last week to enjoy a day of sport.
Pupils from Whitchurch Infant Academy and Whitchurch Junior Academy joined together to attend a multi-skills tournament at Fenton Manor, in Staffordshire.
Chris Jones, from Whitchurch Junior, believes his pupils learned a number of important skills from the day, using their abilities to help others.
"Our Year 6 sports leaders had an opportunity to lead a dodgeball skills activity to seven St. Barts Trust Schools," he said.
"The children showed many sporting values, such as teamwork, effort and passion."
Laura Jones, from Whitchurch Infants, added: "Our fabulous Year 2 children represented our school and took part in hockey, athletics, dodgeball, basketball and football. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to work with the Junior children.
"Both schools look forward to working with each other at future events as well as other children within the St. Barts Trust."
