Car parking in Malpas is set to come under more scrutiny with a confidential session at the Parish Council's next meeting on Monday, April 8.

The issue of car parking has been a long-term problem in the village but parish councillors in Malpas will discuss a report and will agree action to move forward.

It will be heard in the private part of the session, which excludes press and public, while councillors will also receive a report on The Mosslands.

There is one planning item on the agenda, with an application for a single-storey extension to existing stable block and relocating the

existing horse walker at Dog Lane Farm, Dog Lane, Oldcastle.

There will also be updates on the Bovis Development in Chester Road, and there will also be an update regarding community health hub in the same road.

Malpas residents can raise issues with the parish council in open discussion at the start of the meeting in an open forum.

Other items on the agenda include highways issues, such as updates on traffic calming measures in Whitchurch Road and Old Hall Street, and an update parking on pavements and traffic in Greenway Lane.

There will be an update and action agreed, regarding the council supporting the national Village Spring Clean Up Day which runs until April 23, and the arrangements for the Annual Parish Council meeting.

The meeting starts at 7pm in the Jubilee Hall.
