A DUO who wowed viewers on a top TV singing contest are set to top the bill at a festival near Whitchurch.

Belle Voci, who reached the final of last year’s The Voice, will headline Shocklach-based music festival Shockfest on July 20.

The duo, Emily Burnett and Sophie Rowland, hail from the Chester area have had a whirlwind year of engagements both in the UK and abroad. Highlights include singing the national anthem for both the FA Community Shield and the RFL Challenge Cup Final 2018, supporting pop idol Gary Barlow and joining top tenor Alfie Boe on stage for a duet performance.

They have also launched two new albums.

Sophie said: “Since the final we have had a fantastic year. Shockfest will have something for everyone and is a big thank to all our local supporters.”

Also on the bill are Lauren Banon, Lucy Milburn, Holly Ellison, Tesni Jones and Kalon Rae.

Every ticket sold will rase £1 for Chester Aid for the Homeless.
