The Rotary Club of Whitchurch will be holding their annual Health Awareness Event on Saturday, April 6, at the White Lion Meadow, outside Tesco, from 9am till midday.
All are welcome to come and have their blood pressure checked
High blood pressure or hypertension is the major cause of strokes but can also be associated with heart attacks or diabetes.
Young or old, male or female, it makes no difference. If you have high blood pressure , you run the risk of any of these afflictions.
Around 15000 people suffer from strokes every year in the UK, but, with early detection and treatment, these can be prevented.
Whitchurch Rotary club offer free, speedy testing of your blood pressure, and offer advice from health care professionals, no appointment is necessary.
It could just save your life!
