Malpas-based horse racing team Oliver Greenall Racing is celebrating after a solid set of results recently.

On Wednesday February 6, Greenall, from Stockton Hall, had a very worthwhile trip up north to Ayr returning with a first and second from just two runners after another solid run by Zalvados to finish second for the third consecutive time.

Henry Brooke was the rider while Jo Hardman was groom.

Oliver said: "He continues to be a model of consistency even if a slightly frustrating one!

"Hopefully now we can pitch him into a decent handicap where he can go close once again and it shouldn’t be too long until he gets his head in front again."

Meanwhile, Greenall's stables were affected by the cancellation on Thursday of all race meetings in Britain after an outbreak of equine flu.

They were going to have two runners in an as-yet-unconfirmed venue.
