A yellow warning for snow and ice has been issued for between midday on Tuesday and 11am on Wednesday in north Shropshire.
Temperatures for Tuesday are expected to peak at three degrees at around midday but will drop from the rest of the afternoon.
The Met Office is predicting heavy snow – at 90 per cent chance from 3pm onwards – with light rain and sleet also forecast before then.
There will be light snow overnight – with temperatures dropping to as low as -5 shortly before midnight, while a stiff wind is expected.
