FIREFIGHTERS have issued a warning after unattended candles caused a bathroom blaze in Wem.
Crews from Prees and Wem attended the fire at Churchill Drive at around 12.25am (Sunday, January 27).
Wem Fire Station's Twitter account posted a warning not to leave candles unattended.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said that a water pipe burst during the incident.
The crews – some with breathing apparatus – used hosereel and covering jets and thermal imaging camera during the call-out.
Firefighters had dealt with the incident by 1.05am.
No information is available as to the cause of the fire.
