MEGSON make a welcome return to Whitchurch next month as the first guests of North Shropshire Folk in 2019.
The award-winning husband and wife duo Stu and Debs Hanna will play at The Talbot Theatre, Whitchurch Leisure Centre on Saturday, February 2 at 8pm.
Three times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards, Megson draw heavily on their Teesside heritage to create a truly unique brand of folk music.
They bring an infectious mix of heavenly vocals, lush harmonies and driving rhythmic guitars. Comprising Debs (vocals, whistle, piano accordion) and Stu (guitar, mandola, banjo), Megson have gained fame on the British folk scene, not only for their arresting and intelligent songwriting, but also for their exquisite musicianship and northern humour.
