A 'serious incident has closed the A41 between Malpas and Broxton on Wednesday morning.
Cheshire Police and West Mercia police are currently working to turn around 30 HGVs that have been caught up in the tailbacks.

Police have been urging motorists to avoid the area between the Hampton Heath roundabout and Broxton roundabout, saying that the A41 is likely to be completely closed for some time.
West Mercia Police have now closed the A41 at the Whitchurch by-pass to stop lorries heading north on the A41.
Cheshire Police tweeted: "A41 now completely closed between the Hampton Heath roundabout at Malpas and the Broxton roundabout and will be for some time.
"Local traffic can divert via Bickerton and Tilston. HGV's both north and southbound on the A41 will need to use the A534 and the A49."
