January well-being month is underway at Chirk Castle.
The National Trust site is offering a variety of outdoor activities throughout the month to help people get off to a good healthy start this year.
Activities such as marshmallow toasting, Nordic walking and outdoor running activities are among the list of things to do at the site this month.
Mark Andrews, volunteer at the castle, said: “The wellbeing month is something that encourages people to get outside even in the colder months.
“It works well for the castle here because it gets more use out of the grounds that might not normally be used so often in the colder months.
“The house tends to be closed for large parts of this time of year, mainly for conservation, so we try to put on other activities and events to interest people and give people something to do.
“It’s nice to have a variety of events that are suitable for everyone, and also nice to see the grounds being used.
“We have guided walks and tours around the grounds, Nordic walking, running events, marshmallow toasting like today – so there’s something for everyone really.”
