A FORMER Ellesmere College student has been selected to represent England in the Under 20s Six Nations tournament.

Gus Warr, who penned a five-year contract with Rugby Union Premiership giants Sale Sharks last year, has been selected as part of the 32-man Elite Performance Squad for 2019.

Those selected will also represent England in the U20s World Rugby Championship which will be held in May/June.

The squad met today for a week-long training camp to prepare for the Six Nations tournament, and will meet again on January 27 ahead of their first fixture.

The tournament gives the youngsters a chance to show off their talent on the biggest stage, with some of England's fixtures set to be shown live on Sky Sports.

Since leaving college, Gus has played for Scotland 18s, captained Scotland 19s in games against Scottish Students, Romania and France and was then selected to play for Scotland 20s against Ireland.

He will now be sporting the England shirt however as he takes on a new challenge in 2019.

England vs France - Saturday, February 9 (Kick off 12.05pm)

Wales vs England - Friday, February 22 (Kick off 7.05pm)

England vs Italy - Friday, March 8 (Kick off 7.45pm)
