A GIRL was injured in a car crash near Ellesmere.
The silver Vauxhall Astra hit a tree on the A528 near Cockshutt at around 6pm yesterday (Thursday, December 27).
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said that two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended attended after reports that a car had crashed into a tree.
"A girl who managed to get herself out of the car was treated for injuries, which are not believed to be serious, and taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital." the spokesman added.
"The driver, a man, was treated for minor injuries and discharged at the scene."
Firefighters from Ellesmere and Baschurch also attended.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service posted a warning on Twitters for drivers to "take care on wet and greasy roads".
